Named after the hotel facing it, this beach is part of a 2km stretch of sand in the center of Albufeira. It’s a little quieter than the beaches to the west, and is mostly frequented by guests of the hotel.
Here the cliff is taller (when compared to the western end of the coast) and has fewer constructions above it. This is the modern part of Albufeira, but the Old Town is a short walk away (about 10 minutes).
At low tide, it’s quite a wide beach, and there’s always plenty of room for all sun worshipers. The soft sand and the water are clean, as certified by the Blue Flag. There are days when the sea is calm, and there are others when there are waves and strong currents. Children or anyone who can’t swim should stick to getting their feet wet by the shore. There’s lifeguard supervision from June to September.
In the summer you have wicker parasols and loungers for rent. For meals, there’s a restaurant above the beach, next to the hotel, but for more options you can easily walk to the Old Town.

How to Get to Praia do Inatel
Walk to the left (when facing the sea) from Pescadores Beach. You know you’ve reached this beach when you see the Inatel Hotel. From above, walk east on Rua Almirante Gago Coutinho from the Pau da Bandeira viewpoint, then turn to the beach by the Inatel Hotel. From Praia do Inatel, you can walk east to the quieter Praia dos Alemães or west to the livelier (and more crowded) Praia dos Pescadores and Praia do Peneco.
